Posted on June 13, 2018

Many people have read that game applications aid brain development and provides brain training for people with ADHD. What does brain training mean?

Brain training hinges on the idea of brain plasticity. The human brain can form new neuronal circuits regardless of our age. The outcomes of brain training are improvements in memory, increased focus and concentration, and an increase in executive functions.

Specific to ADHD, brain training involves Neurofeedback and Cognitive Training.

Neurofeedback allows us to track improvements in cognition with the use of sensors. Cognitive training involves the development of specific cognitive abilities such as problem solving, through games. An example of a cognitive training programme is the Learning RX programme.
