New research reveals a couple more servings of fruits and vegetables in a day will be sufficient to lift your mood in a short span of two weeks. Participants in the study who took two extra portions of fruits and vegetables noticed increases in both motivation and vitality.

The study was put into comparison with participants who had their meals as per normal, participants who were given vouchers to purchase fruits and vegetables and lastly, participants who were handed the fruits and vegetables directly.

The last group of young adults who were given the fruits and vegetables directly reported the improvement in their motivation and vitality and added that this made them continue the habit in eating more fruits and vegetables.

Participants who were given vouchers, purchased the fruits and vegetables to cook with other foods and researchers deduced that perhaps by eating the fruits and vegetables raw is vital to boosting mental wellbeing.
