Are you binge eating to cope with your overwhelming feelings? Do find that you can go for periods and be okay only to find yourself overwhelmed?

Do certain life task seem difficult and more manageable if you consume a lot of food to get through them?

Do you feel shame and embarrassment by this activity? Do you want help but are afraid of being judged?

This is a common coping mechanism to deal with the intense feelings that come from life such as stress, anxiety, fear, disappointment. It is not a will power issue but rather an emotional processing and regulation and thinking issue.
