Therapy in the heart of Singapore.

I am an experienced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist offering a safe, comfortable and confidential environment in which to deal with feelings and issues that sometimes feel overwhelming. Located at the heart of Singapore's Central Business District at Raffles Place, my focus is on therapy that enables you to better manage current stresses as well as longer-term problems.

I work with the full spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem and relationship issues. I also work with issues that may have built up over a long period of time, often from childhood and which may present as a generalised feeling of anxiety or sadness. Chronic and difficult problems, because of their complexity and long-standing nature, generally require greater time to disentangle and work through. Building a capacity to examine, understand and change our feelings in an enduring way lies at the heart of the Psychoanalytic approach.

Getting Started

It may feel difficult to think about starting therapy, and you may be unsure about how we would work together and the kinds of issues that might come up.

I offer both short (6 - 12 session) and long-term therapy, but tend to work in a mostly open-ended way as my experience is that the regularity and consistency of once-weekly sessions is helpful in providing a stable setting to explore deep-seeded issues.

Training and Qualifications

I trained in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in London at WPF Therapy/Roehampton University, one of the leading academic and clinical institutions for psychotherapy in the UK, after completing an M.A. at Goldsmiths College at the University of London.

I continued my clinical training as a Psychotherapist in the NHS, at both The Maudsley and Guy's and St. Thomas' hospitals, working with both individual and group modalities.

I am a registered member of the Psychotherapy Association of Singapore (PAS), BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council), BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and I comply with their professional ethical codes.
