OCD and Anxiety Support Hong Kong

Date: 7 Oct 2017 - 2 Dec 2017

Hong Kong

OCD and Anxiety Support Hong Kong was established in January 2014 as a non-profit organisation for individuals suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Anxiety Disorders (AD). The Founder and CEO of this organisation is Minal Mahtani. The purpose of OCD & Anxiety Support Hong Kong is to give individuals with OCD and AD the opportunity to lead the best life possible, to build a sense of community where OCD and AD sufferers have a voice to express how they feel and to reduce stigma associated with such disorders in Asia.

What we do

The Support Group is open to adults aged between 17 and 68 who struggle with intrusive thoughts, constant worries and who feel stuck in negative patterns of thinking. We aim to do this by running free monthly support group meetings for English speaking adults struggling with OCD and AD and providing online support. We also aim at raising community awareness through public education about OCD and AD in Hong Kong in hospitals, school, clinics, radio broadcasts, television and social media. We also hold events during OCD Awareness Week and Mental Health Awareness Week to give English and Chinese speaking sufferers a voice and give the public information about support services available. We provide resources about anxiety disorders, treatment and treatment providers in Hong Kong, U.K. and the U.S.A. We also offer individuals and family psychoeducation and coaching.

The coming monthly support group meetings are scheduled as follows and will be taken place from 2:30pm to 4:15pm.
