Part 3 is an advanced level class designed for experienced therapists looking to increase their ability to implement practical sensory strategies into their everyday treatment of higher-functioning children with subtle sensory processing dysfunctions. Learn PRACTICAL, hands-on, specific techniques focusing on the detection and effective treatment of sensory discrimination disorders. These strategies will improve skill acquisition and increase the rate of progress, resulting in notable functional outcomes in your treatment sessions.

A must do conference for clinician working with children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, motor planning deficits, sequencing and organization deficits and executive function dysfunctions.

About the Trainer
Julia Harper, PhD, MS, OTR/L

Dr. Julia Harper is leading an effort to improve the quality and accessibility of therapeutic treatments for children with developmental disabilities. As the Clinical Director and President of TheraPeeds, Julia oversees all treatment interventions at our center.

Julia is committed to ensuring that therapists and parents have a greater understanding of the neurological issues faced by children diagnosed with developmental disabilities such as Autism, AD/HD, Auditory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia and other developmental disabilities.

Julia has practiced as a pediatric occupational therapist since receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, in 1993. Julia also holds a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, and a Philosophy Doctorate in Psychology. In addition, Dr. Harper holds several advanced certifications in pediatric treatments, including a SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test) certification from Sensory Integration International and INPP (Primitive Reflex Stimulation and Integration Program) certification from the Institute for Neurophysiological Psychology in Chester, United Kingdom. She was an Adjunct Professor in the OTA Program at LaGuardia College and holds a music degree from the Royal Academy of Music, which she applies to her work in Sensory Integration.
