Sensory Integration Certification Program : Specialized techniques for measuring Sensory Integration

SOCH, a registered NGO is based in Gurgaon, India and is working for children with needs. SOCH would be organizing international Certification program in Sensory Integration. The USC Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and Western Psychological Services will issue certificates for the course verifying participation.

The "SIPT" course provides in-depth training in using and understanding measures of sensory integration. Emphasis is placed on learning to administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) and related measures and on making accurate clinical observations. These measures are discussed relative to the functions they assess, presenting problems, and appropriate intervention. Course Link

Participants

Courses 2 and 3 are open to occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, neuropsychologists, and physicians wishing to learn how to evaluate sensory integration and praxis and how to interpret these findings based on research for the purpose of planning intervention.

Required Materials:

Participants must bring the following to Course 2: SIPT Kit (Product No. W-260), a SIPT Manual (Product No. W-260M), and a continuously running stopwatch with a 30- or 60-second face. Two participants may share one Kit during the course. The SIPT Administration DVD (W-260DV) and Practice SIPT Materials are included in a “SCORING PACKET” and the fee for the packet is not included in course fee. The scoring packet cost would be intimated separately after import.

Prerequisite

Participants must complete Course 1 before enrolling in Course 2.
