Special Needs Schools for Children, Teenagers and Adults in Singapore

Below is an extensive list of schools in Singapore which offer programs for children with a developmental challenge of some kind.  One advantage of this data base is that it has been organized according to the type of challenge and age group catered to. It includes the following kinds of handicap: Attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD, ADD), Autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Dyslexia, learning disability, Hearing impairment, Intellectual delay/disability specifically for mild or moderate delay, Multiple impairment, Visual impairment.

Not only does this list provide a data base of resource schools for a wide range of special needs children but it also includes the complete names, postal addresses, websites and telephone numbers of these schools.  This enables the reader to easily contact the schools to make appointments.
 
The data for this list was collected by Jennifer Sunderland who works with special needs children. Hi, My husband and I will be moving to Singapore in the next year. We have a 6 year old son with special needs and are looking for an appropriate school for him. He is on the spectrum with PDD and possibly ADD. His behavior, oppositionality, reactivity and non compliance are the main things that interfere with his learning. IQ is good

It is best to talk to the schools directly so they can answer any questions and address your concerns in detail. Even better would be to schedule a visit to the school so you can see for yourself the learning environment and how children are taught.
